Meet the President

Vijay Lakshman has been in the SF Bay Area from 1997 and comes from Hassan. While growing up, he lived in Chickmaglur, Mandya, Mysore, Mudigere and Sringeri. Vijay lives with his wife Sowmya, Sons Suvrat and Samvrat.
He is an ardent Singer and has passion about Music, Photography and Theatrical Performances. Vijay has worked on the Production of Sasgaradaache Saptaswara, a musical contest for Kannadigas in USA. He worked as a Contestants and Judges Relationship Manager and did liaison between Judges (Mano Murthy and Jayant Kaikini) and Contestants.
He is engaged in many organizations, taking up different roles and driving different projects/activity and initiatives.

Vijay ia a very active volunteer member of KKNC:
o Worked as Marketing team member in 2009
o As a Stage Manager in 2010, he was instrumental in driving "Starting and Ending Events on time"
o As a Cultural Chair in 2011, Vijay brought many attractive programs and artists - Sunitha and Anitha Ananthaswamy, Dr. Sanjay Madhura Shantaram, Indushree

Vijay has served in many other organizations:
o Vijay is active participant in the East Bay Youth Cricket Association and Served as Chairman of the Board and President in year 2011
o Vijay is Toast Master and has served as a District Officer - Area Governor in Area F3 (2010 - 2011) of Toastmasters International. He is a Charter member of vAkpaTugaLu - A Kannada Toastmasters Club and a Past President President in Year 2009 - 2010
o He also practices Yoga
